What Is Possible?
What Is Possible?
I've been inspired. The Asking Questions newscast is now one of my favorites since it's thought-provoking questions offer me ample opportunity to access powerful ideas through meditation that we don't always think about. In today's article on "In Between Time" I found the following two questions:
Is it possible to... find ourselves?
Is it possible to remember what it is to simply exist?
I encourage you to read the article. The comments I left are as follows:
"Fantastic questions! My emphatic answer is 'Yes!'
'In Between Time' is perhaps the best place and time to find ourselves if... we can avoid the distractions. However, it is only one of an infinite number of moments in a day where we can choose to "get present". And therein lies the opportunity and responsibility... we get to choose!
In a line at the store: Do I think about how to make my family happier or do I check out the latest with Justin and Cameron?
In traffic: Do I let my mind wallow in the morning drivetime radio drivel or do I put in the good stuff that I choose from the personal development CD I just bought online?
Everything we are now is a result of what we have thought up to this point. Who we become will be the result of what we choose to begin thinking now. We are literally Creative Centers endowed with the ability invent our world as we go. Our world will therefore be whatever thoughts have been impressed on us OR whatever we have created by our chosen thoughts."
So, the question then becomes "What is possible?" Are we literally limited only by our own imaginations?
Jesus taught that "As a man thinketh, so is he.", and that "Whatsoever things ye ask in faith, believing that ye shall receive, will be given unto you." And further, "But ask in faith, nothing wavering." W. Clement Stone, the great insurance business leader, said "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, he can achieve."
The history of our world continues to show, especially in recent years, that what was once thought impossible becomes commonplace. Science fiction regularly becomes science fact. I actually saw an Engadget article the other day that showed a video of the new Cheoptics 360 hologram projector that literally projects life-size holograms in three-dimensional space. I've been waiting for decades to see that!
Physical abilities continue to expand as Olympic records are broken year after year. Being a millionaire is not really a big deal anymore. 50 is the new 30, etc., etc.
What is clearly evident is that thoughts become things and you get what you think about. So, be grateful for who you are and the power you have been given, then choose carefully what you think about because you are the one who defines what is possible in your own life.
